Instagram appears to be particularly popular with product based businesses due to its visual nature. Many businesses that are product based such as clothing, jewellery, make up or even food based business have achieved success using Instagram. This is because the application allows for photos to be posted and shared of people either wearing or using these products. For instance, a food manufacturer might post photos of someone cooking with, sharing a meal, or entertaining friends using their food products. This success is not exclusive to big brands as many small businesses have been able to leverage the power of Instagram to engage their clients. For instance, Melbourne based café The Kettle Black had over 45,800 followers in March 2016 they have achieved this through the use of attractive photographs of their food and images of cafe meals that Instagram users would be attracted to, as well as using hashtags that foodies, food bloggers and other Instagram users would be interested in or search for.

Influencer marketing

Bloggers, social media stars and media personalities have amassed a loyal following online with hundreds and sometimes thousands of people following their Instagram accounts. This ‘influencer’ group means that there are several eyeballs there ready to see your product or service. The audience has already been built for you. The engagement has already been formed and tapping into this by getting your product uploaded onto their Instagram feed or featured by a blogger or popular Instagram account holder will help you to grow your audience more quickly. Therefore taking the time to identify key ‘influencers’ in your industry and how you can tap into this is important.

Why You should Stay away from Buying Fake Reviews – These Tips

You got a bad reviews online and you’re freaked out what now? After you calm down and dry your eyes you look around for viable solution to this pain such as hiring a reputation management service to take care of these painful bad reviews. There are several solutions to bad reviews but if you are looking for long term solution then don’t do the following review strategy:why you should stay away from buying fake reviews

seo serviceFake Reviews – I would never post such a thing online you cry! No one thinks for one second a business owner such as yourself would participate in such a seedy response which incidentally not only goes against the terms of service of Google, Yahoo and Bing, but it also goes against the terms of service of the local business directories such as yelp, CitySearch or MapQuest etc. So how are these fake reviews finding themselves posted online?

Reputation management companies in their frenzy to grab fast cash from business owners who are freaked out and in pain from a couple of bad reviews are posting fake reviews in an effort to bury the bad reviews. In theory this is a wonderful idea, the reputation service gets paid good money and the businesses owner gets lots of great five-star reviews. Not only does the bad reviews get buried but all those great reviews also make the business look great so it gets lots more FREE traffic as a result.

Here’s the problem: Filters!
The search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing are constantly upgrading their algorithms to seek out and filter out fake reviews. So one day you will be riding high on the search engines and your phone will be ringing all day long but when those filters especially the Google filter finds your fake reviews you will be none the wiser because it happens silently in the night.

At first you’ll wonder why the phone’s not ringing as much but after a few days you’ll check out your web presence then be shocked to discover all your reviews will be gone. I hear you screaming in my ear they were not all fake reviews some of them I got from my satisfied customers and satisfied clients and we posted them online we had permission. Here’s the kicker how does Google and the other search engines know the difference from a fake review and real review you posted? Remember the algorithm it’s looking for many different things to determine if a review is fake or real such as
Who posted the review
Where did the post from (city etc.)
What is the IP of the poster (internet protocol number)
What is the posting pattern of the poster
What is the search pattern of the poster (web search history)
Blah, blah, blah (the algorithm goes on and on and no one knows exactly what’s in the algorithm)
You can fool the search engine some of the time but you will never fool that search engine all of the time so, as a long term strategy fake reviews will lead to more pain.

Remember when you hire a reputation management service to fix your negative reviews make sure there not posting fake reviews or the Google filter will find them and remove them leaving your business review-less and all you investment to get those reviews will be gone.
